Online Canadian Pharmacy Services

An online pharmacy is basically a mail order pharmacy that is reached by using an internet connection. Individuals like using them because they find them substantially lower cost to deal with than their bricks and mortar pharmacy down the street in their own neighborhood.

The reason why you may be able to purchase drugs from them at a lower cost is that many of them are located in other countries where paying employees is substantially lower than in the United States, general overhead may be a great deal lower, and because of their location there may be a lot lower price markup than a store located in the United States that needs to cover for extensive and very expensive advertising to stay in their highly competitive business.

At times people shy away from brick and mortar pharmacies due to privacy. They feel better about receiving medication for impotency, as an example, through the mail. They can ask questions via fax, email or phone without anyone knowing exactly who they are rather than chance that the pharmacist or the pharmacy aide will tell others about the medication. Granted that is very unlikely to happen, but as mentioned it gives peace of mind to some.

At times people save money due to patent protections that cover only the United States but not outside of the United States. Thus a drug may not be a brand name in the country you are purchasing from and therefore it’s considered a generic there.

If you reside away from the city and live in a rural area instead, you may find online pharmacies to be a stroke of luck. It may be that the pharmacy is miles away from your home if you were to have to pick it up, which would cost you for gas, loss of time and be a tremendous undertaking for you. An online pharmacy, on the other hand, is as close to you as your computer.

There are some caveats involved in online pharmacies though. For example there will be additional fees charged for shipping and sometimes handling. Sometimes some online pharmacies will use bait and switch tactics that involve a first time lower cost for your first order, but thereafter the price rises substantially. There are some online pharmacies that do not require a prescription for drugs that probably should require one. Prescriptions are for your safety so that you do not take a drug that might interfere with another drug you are taking for example, thus not needing a prescription may not properly safeguard your health.

Because there are at times online pharmacies that are not on the up and up, it behooves you to do some research prior to ordering from an online pharmacy. Be sure that you have an address and a phone number where you can reach them should there be a problem with delivery or such. Also, too if you are dealing with a pharmacy that is located in the United States, it will be relatively easy to make sure they are properly licensed.
