There are some online pharmacies that do not require a prescription for drugs that probably should require one. Prescriptions are for your safety so that you do not take a drug that might interfere with another drug you are taking for example, thus not needing a prescription may not properly safeguard your health.

Because there are at times online pharmacies that are not on the up and up, it behooves you to do some research prior to ordering from an online pharmacy. Be sure that you have an address and a phone number where you can reach them should there be a problem with delivery or such. Also, too if you are dealing with a pharmacy that is located in the United States, it will be relatively easy to make sure they are properly licensed.
